Ask Zlatan Crncevic about his past and you're not likely to get much.

He'll probably be willing to reveal that he's a Serb, and that he was born in Zadar, Croatia. He'll be somewhat more reluctant to discuss his family (you might be able to get that he has, or maybe had, a younger sister), and it's unlikely that he'll tell you anything at all about exactly how or why he left the country (though an informed listener would have little trouble reaching the conclusion that the war had something to do with it).

Ask about Zlatan Crncevic in the criminal underground of Los Angeles and you might learn that he worked there in the mid-1990's, and that he has a reputation as a highly successful and reliable transporter - someone who could be counted on to get your goods, legal or not (and generally he was only hired for the latter), to wherever they were headed, no questions asked - for the right price, of course.

Ila Grlscz approached him a couple years ago about acting as the getaway driver in a heist; the plan went smoothly and they worked well together, so he's left the transport business to stay on with her group for the long haul.

Zlatan's current comrades couldn't tell you much about his past, either, but he likes it that way. And hey, somebody's got to be the obligatory Dark Brooding Type with the Mysterious Past, right?

p e r s o n a l i t y

Zlatan doesn't say a lot.

Those who have worked with him might describe him as too serious or too quiet, though in his opinion, you can't really be too serious or too quiet. He's always taken his job quite seriously, and in his transporter days, he was known for being the type who'd never open the package and never question what was in it, or even ask for names, as long as he was getting paid enough.

He's loosened up since joining Ila and company, but only a bit. He's still the quiet one, still doesn't smile much, and still rolls his eyes when the others screw around - but the fact that he sticks with them despite it either says something for him relaxing, or it says something about the amazing profit margin they're pulling in being more than worth it to him.

Actually, it probably says something about both.

His "hobbies," such as they are, would seem to be driving, tinkering with whatever car he happens to be driving this week (he's more than capable of doing most repairs himself and he's a fair hand at custom work), and not laughing at Dylan's jokes.

Zlatan is tall and well-built, with red hair. He could possibly be quite attractive when he smiles, but you wouldn't know it, because he has perfected his Dark And Broody Demeanor and he uses it a damned lot.
